On Nov. 15, 2016 JinkoSolar completed the sale of all of the 55% equity interest it indirectly held in Jinko Power. As a result of the sale, JinkoSolar spun off its downstream business of Jinko Power and received US$250 million in cash.
JinkoSolar commenced operations in June 2006.
JinkoSolar is a fast-growing solar product manufacturer with low-cost operations based in Jiangxi Province and Zhejiang Province in China. JinkoSolar has built a vertically integrated solar product value chain from recovered silicon materials to solar modules. JinkoSolar's principal products are silicon wafers, solar cells and solar modules. As of December 31, 2009, JinkoSolar had an aggregate of more than 440 silicon wafer, solar cell and solar module customers from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, India, Belgium, Singapore, Korea, France, Spain and Israel and other countries or regions.
The company announced that its initial public offering of 5,835,000 American depositary shares ("ADSs"), each representing four ordinary shares of the Company, priced at $11.00 per ADS.
JinkoSolar is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and traded under the ticker symbol JKS.
JinkoSolar's fiscal year ends on December 31.
As of December 31, 2021, we had 190,824,913 ordinary shares outstanding , excluding Table of Contents 61 103,803 ADS representing 415,212 ordinary shares reserved for future grants under our share incentive plans and conversion of our convertible notes, and 2,945,840 ordinary shares as treasury stock.
